hyun bin aka "Cyrus"
HYUN, Jin-Heon - A 27-year-old restaurant owner (played by Hyun Bin / Hyeon Bin)
Jin-Heon suffers from his sad past. He had everything until the unfortunate accident 3 years ago. A handsome and smart man with promising future, having wealthy hotel owners as parents, it seemed that he had nothing to fear. 3 years ago, he made a mistake while driving, and the accident killed both his brother and his wife in the car. Jin-Heon injured his left leg from the accident. And later, his long loved girlfriend left him without giving him any explanation. He became cold-hearted and twisted after the accident. His feeling of guilt was too much to bear. He becomes to despise himself and convinced that he doesn’t deserve to be happy. When he was in such great agony and pain, the woman he loved left him with no explanation. She only asked him to wait for 3 years. That was it.
tv heartthrob hyun bin
In the debut film released last week, Hyun plays an immature third-generation millionaire who is awakened to love. "My part in the movie is the heir of a millionaire grandfather who is just filthy rich without any special preferences or interests. He is rude to the elderly and quite arrogant. I don't know why, but I keep playing arrogant parts,” Hyun said.
"A Millionaire's First Love" focuses on the boy’s struggle with a clause in his grandfather’s will that says he will only get his inheritance if he graduates from a high school in the country. Relocated into the mountains, Hyun finds puppy love with a naive country girl. Can love change the spoilt urbanite and awaken his gentler side?
Although Hyun is still a fledgling actor, the web survey offers a glimpse of how far he has already come. Inevitably, women are his main fan base, as witness the huge crowd of them that turned up at a promotion stunt where the heartthrob himself applied lip gloss to 20 participants. His popularity owes much to his image as an arrogant but ultimately romantic lover and to clean-cut and well-bred looks that suggest a rebellious streak underneath. But Hyun is having none of it, flatly assessing his appearance as "ordinary."
"I have to look at myself in the mirror dozens of times when I shoot dramas or movies. When I look at myself, I can’t really see myself as good-looking," Hyun said. But with a 184-cm tall, toned physique thanks to his time as a swimmer in school, the strapping 24-year old has clearly struck a chord. His consistently improving performances look likely to strengthen rather than dissipate his popularity as time goes by.

hyun bin: kim sam soon review
I loved all the characters. Kim Sun-ah was a hilarious Kim Sam-soon. She had a natural feel to her acting. Everything about her in this drama was really funny. Hyun Bin played Sam-soon's boss, Hyun Jin-heon, the 20 some year old with a driving phobia. He was cool, quick tempered, and amusing at the end of the drama. Jeong Ryu Won played Yoo Hee-jin, Jin-heon's ex-girlfriend. It was her presence that brought the tears in the drama. I wanted to hate her but I just couldn't. Philip was played by Daniel Henney! I believe this was his Korea debut and it was a great drama to debut with. He was sweet, suave, and incredibly handsome. The other characters (supporting cast) had their own stories which added humor to the story like Sam-soon's older sister and the restaurant's chef. All characters were a delight to watch.
There are 16 episodes in this drama filled with yummy foods and comedy. I'm full with 16 episodes. There's no more space for more and I'd be highly unsatisfied if I got less. The series is the perfect length and it wouldn't be the same if it were shorter or longer.
The drama provided very good humor. Even if a scene isn't very funny, just looking at Sam-soon is enough to make you crack a laugh. There was good romance and mystery as well. You could say there was some horror that involved a pig. Haha. Overall, humor was basically the strong point of this drama.
I liked the music played throughout the drama. The music was incredibly appropriate for this type of film, and I liked it so much I actually went out and bought the soundtrack. To my disappointment however, some of the songs I desperately wanted to listen to weren't on the CD. The choice of music in this series was definitely excellent.
This is a drama for people who need a laugh. You might not laugh with Sam-soon's whining but you will laugh when you see her eat. She has no table manners whatsoever. My Lovely Kim Sam-soon is for both guys and girls. I'm still laughing about it even now. Girls will love the actors in this one because Hyun Bin and Daniel Henney are gorgeous, and their characters are charming as well. Guys, you'll love it for the never ending amount of comedy it brings you, and it might even make you consider girls who may not be supermodel quality.
about hyun bin
Not to be mistaken for the gorgeous and very popular star of Taegukgi and Autumn Story (원빈), Hyun Bin or Kim Tae Pyung in real life gained prominence this year for starring oppposite Kim Sun Ah in this year’s famous drama “My name is Kim Sam Soon”. He was Sam Soon’s hot-tempered boss (owner of the French restaurant “Bon Apetit”). Unfortunately for him, he had to work with Daniel Henney whose charm and good looks had made him a national hearththrob. Imagine that he had to compete for audiences’ attention with the Korean-American.
I had never seen Hyun Bin in a drama or any other TV show. Maybe I’d seen him in “Nonstop 4″ but I didn’t really notice. In the Bridget Jones-inspired drama, he was an “abused” son (better watch the show to know what I mean!) who almost always was in an argument with the show’s heroine. I would like to tell more about his role in the drama but I don’t want to spoil the fun for those who haven’t seen it.
Anyway, here are some facts about him:
- screen name - Hyun Bin (real: Kim Tae Pyung)
- born on September 25, 1982
- Type B (blood type)
- stands 184 cm and weighs 74 kg
- attended Jung Ang University
- debuted in the drama “Bodyguard”
- starred in “Nonstop 4″ and “Ireland”
